This is an interesting article that perhaps tries to scare women who have had Cesarians from trying a natural birth second time. I say, let's stop these alarming rates of Cesarians for first births, which are mainly caused by continuous electronic monitoring and other routine birth interventions that cause complications, like not moving, fasting, epidurals and so many others. We all know that once there is a Cesarian, there is more of a chance of a uterine rupture, but it is really very very rare when the labor is not induced or accelerated by the use of pitocin, or especially prostaglandins. I think it is a scare technique by obstetricians to promote goin back to the good old days of "once a Cesarian, always a Cesarian." Makes you wonder, are hospitals such safe places to have babies in??? Ilana
