You are another victim of genital mutilation, and this story should be read by every woman who considers a hospital birth. All women should refuse to be cut and insist that this be written in their charts. There are many stories like yours, and until women take responsibility for their bodies instead of handing them over to the "experts" to be cut and sewn, then they will suffer the consequences. Doctors and midwives will only stop cutting episiotomies based on unfounded "benefits" when they see that they are open to a law suit if they perform this unnecessary surgery without the women's consent. The episiotomy is probably the most violent assault on a womans body, but also not proven to be beneficial and possibly harmful are the routine intravenous, fasting in labor, continuous electronic fetal monitoring, and lying in bed, and the separation of mothers from their babies. And you are still thinking it is safest to birth in hospital! Get smart all you women out there, and take responsibility for your health and your body and . your baby. Don't buy the "White Coat God" image of the medical world.I'm really happy that you have found a proper treatment for your post-traumatic pelvic floor dysfunction. Keep up with your practicing and spread the word. You don't need a Cesarian next time. YOu just need not to have an epidural, to push as your body tells you, to prepare first with the epi-no, and to have a skilled midwife. Best of luck
