I went to the ulrasound to check what up why I had spotting... my midwife thought its placenta *previa (*shiliat petach) so she recommended me a bedrest. I felt it wrong because bedrest can make birth harder as laying doesn't let the baby to descend to optimal position, and can complicate birth especially in this sensitive situationw with the placenta and baby and labor. so I followed my intuition: didn't do bedrest but I didn't carry I took easy.
I was thinking: why me?! I was upset but somehow I asked myself deep inside if its previa or not. i doubted its blocking the baby's way because when I carried shalom on Monday and had spotting, if it was a previa I shall have bleed heavily red blood, not just brown spotting here and there. because the sterneous activity of lifting shalom on the stairs shall have made the unborn baby's head to press on the placenta that is on the cervix.
when I went to the ultrasound, indeed my intuition proved right: it was NOT previa. just a low placenta that doesnt' block the baby's way to birth.. The midwife reommended to take easy, not to lift things, and not need bedrest! whew! Then the midwife added warning: if I bleed I shall report to her immediately and go to the hospital!! and during birth she will have to watch me carefully so if I bleed she will have to take the baby out fast.. I know what she means: C section! well. I am not afraid. I know everythign will be fine. I asked her why shall I bleed, because of the strss of the labor on the placenta or because the baby's passage interference with the placenta? she said 'the baby' well. I believe in my body that it can birth my baby well without hurting me or the baby. I use positive mind suggestions and picture the perfect birth. I believe that God can do it for me. as many women have undiagnosed low lying placenta and birth just fine. so now my body is showing signs of prelabor, I pass alot of the plug all the time. I have braxton hicks contractions. last week when I was dialted and effactd, now it all closed back. whew! its too early as I am at 36 weeks.. I rather the baby to be born ready as close to the week 40. even I don't have patience and want to be over with it! so i try to get on hands and feet position to encourage the baby to have its back on the front so he will be easily in favorable birth position, not posterior (face to the front) because my placenta is in the front, and babies tend to face the placenta. so if the placnta is in the front... I have to pray everyday and stop to fear as fears make birth dangerous
