It is very important that you should train with the Epi-no for two reasons. One, to prevent getting cut again or tearing from the scar tissue. It is important to refuse the episiotomy and not leave it up to the midwife to decide. Some midwives seem to decide very often that it is necessary! You have to be assertive and tell the midwife who is birthing you that you do not allow her to cut an episiotomy, and that you have trained with the epi-no and prefer a tear rather than a cut. You probably won't tear either. The second reason is that training with the epi-no will not worsen your prolapse. If you bought the Delfine, with the clock gauge manometer, then you can practice with it strengthening your pelvic floor. Also after the birth. Do lots of Kegel exercises and see a urogenital physiotherapist for more help. Good luck, Ilana
