Dear CL, I'm aware of this new research, and it is trying to bring back the fear of trying for a natural birth after a CS, which is time-consuming and not cost-effective for American obstetricians, who yearn for the days when "once a Cesarian, always a Cesarian" ruled. Please note that the risks of a repeat Cesarian are greater than a VBAC, as long as it is not induced or prostaglandins are not used. Care should be taken with Pitocin acceleration also as this also poses a risk for a rupture but only slight and can be used only if really necessary and with caution. I would like to send you some excellent responses to this research so please send me your e-mail. Try for the VBAC, it still is the safest way. Ilana shemesha@inter.net.il
