Help new Midwives learn-come share your birth stories!

Shalom!
My name is Debby Gedal-Beer and I am a midwife and coordinator of the Midwifery Program at Tel Hashomer (studies for become a certified nurse-midwife). I am looking for women who are willing to come and tell their birth experience in order to help midwife trainees to better understand what is important to women during childbirth. My goal is to expose future midwives, at the beginning of their studies, to laboring women’s expectations, and needs- emotional, physical, spiritual, during childbirth. I think this is important in order to help young midwives understand their potential power they have on effecting and shaping a women’s childbirth experiences.
I invite you to share your birth stories in complete, for better or worse, with midwife trainees (approx. 30) with the belief that you can help them improve the care they provide during one of our most significant life experiences- childbirth.
Women who are interested will be invited to participate in panel discussions which will take place during the coming months.
