Well, I am sure that in good time the new Mom will tell her story from her point of view. When I tell my story it is from the midwive's angle, which is different from the woman giving birth. I think it's a nice touch to give both sides. It has been done a few times on the forum in the past. Salit, I'm really sorry that I disappointed you when I turned you down for a homebirth due to distance. Mifalsim is 20 minutes from hospital, which is OK. I don't remember our phone conversation, but I assume that I understood the hospital to be about half-hour away, and when you add the extra 10 minutes for the calling of the ambulance and getting in and out, it's just a bit far for my comfort level. Also there are more transfers on a first birth, if this was a first birth. However, if the distances are not correct, it is open for negotiation for your next birth! Also I always offer you to birth in my zimmers, 7 minutes from Kaplan, which is like a homebirth, but my home not yours (which is definately no small difference) but at least an option instead of hospital. Thanks Gili and Noa for your encouraging words.
