you know what I would prefer...x

I would prefer to give birth in a true midwife run birth center with all the facilities, and a hospital nearby. This place does not exist in this country.x
Instead you have a busy, chaotic system in which the well-being of the mother is the last thing on the menu, and birth becomes the first, sometimes, only occasion in which a modern woman has to go through ritualized abuse in name of protocol.x
If we are talking about mistakes - and I follow this up closely as I am very high risk - quite a few interesting malpractice suits going on lately:x
a male midwife sexually harrasing patients on assaf harofeh.x
a baby in distress "forgotten" in assaf harofeh, c-section was done too late and baby became severely damaged - couple was awarded a lot of money on this.x
baby "hit" on the head on Meir after he got stuck in the a failed vacuum attempt and a c-section was performed. Mother's uterus in very bad shape after surgery, unclear if she can ever have a healthy baby.x
two babies, one in tel-hashomer, one in maanei yeshuah, had milk injected intravenously and almost died.x
Preemie babies in soroka catch deadly fungus from their hats and die. Hospital does not say anything and does not close the NICU.x
and the worse - the latest on the egg-stealing professor in beilinson - he harrased his co-workers and second-guessed their medical decisions - he was in charge. The attending doctor had found an ovarian problem in the mother, potentially life threatening - the professor disagreed. No c-section performed, babies have c. palsy and more - the mother could have died. Doctors there had to threaten to resign en masse before this guy was sent home!x
in haifa, woman with fatty liver syndrome (serious toxemia complication) arrives to the emergency room with classical symptoms - headache, pain in upper right quadrant, twins gestation. Doctor does not perform screen for toxemia. Babies die, mother in intensive care.x
Do you still feel safe?x
