A doula is a great help but is powerless too with a non-cooperative midwife or doctor. Be wary of hospitals now trying to lure you with their gimics of fancy rooms and liberal policies. Check statistics and speak to women for referrals. You have the power, use it! Be grateful to Sivan for such wise advice, and don't be ostriches with your heads in the sand.
