answer to Sara about breech and prolapse

Sara you are right that with a prolapsed cord and breech it is much less of an emergency as the softer breech is not compressing the cord so hard like a hard head. However, the cord is still being pushed on somewhere between the pelvic bones and the babies bottom, and there will be fetal distress and although not so serious, I think it would probably be safer to have a Cesarian than wait with a prolapsed cord. The water idea sounds safer than air but I have no experience and haven't read anything about this so wouldn't take the risk.
