Netah (15 months old) sleeps in our bed most of the night (some of it in her own bed which is right by ours). Yes, we pay for it in sleep time and some intimate couple time (although we never had problems being intimate when she sleeps on the other corner of the bed). And yes, sometimes she uses me as a 'live pacifyier' (motzetz) all night long ... x So I totally understand parents who prefer to have their bed to themselves. x But the rewards are also great. x I take so much pleasure from cuddling with her, from feeling her arms carressing me at night. x I feel so wonderful when I get to see her first morning smiles and hear her soft voice cooing happily. x I feel so gratified to know that my daughter never has to cry for me - I am right there for her, within arms' reach. x I spend all day at work, away from my sweet, and I cannot tolerate the thought of being separate from her at night. x Oh, yes. And I also don't have to leave bed in order to feed her. x So you see, co-sleeping it is not merely my daughter's need, it is my own need as well! x Sweet dreams, x Talila
